Before and After, Grout & Stone Floors

You might pick up a can of Clorox 4 in One spray for the bottom of your shoes if you realized that the grout in public restrooms wasn't intended to be black. A quick glance at the tile/stone closer to eye level or in areas which aren't often walked on can show you the original color of the grout.

You don't need to have a great imagination to figure out why the grout in restrooms is turning black or where the bottom of your shoes end up when you get home.

Cleaning involves removal of the matter while sanitizer and disinfectant kill bacteria. This photo is of a restroom which is professionally maintained where the facility manager is looking to make the floors look like they were originally intended to.

These floors are great compared to what I normally see, but can you see the cleaned grout vs the old grout?

For this demo, we used the iMop micro scrubber, Maintex Grout Cleaner and Maintex Grout Brightener to quickly restore the grout and stone to it's original look.

If you have any questions about your flooring program/chemicals or would like to see how new technology might reduce your cost while increasing effectiveness, reach out to your Maintex representative.

If you're not working with Maintex yet, you can always reach me at 626-800-8422 or email me at [email protected]
