Beep-beep! Beep-beep!! Beep-beep!!!

Beep-beep! Beep-beep!! Beep-beep!!!, Oh my god it's already 7 am. I switched-off the most hated sound waves of the world (The Alarm!). At 5:30 am morning I had finished my presentation and went to bed. And felt as if I could get sleep of only 5 min. But let me wake up fast, today is most important day in my life.
I am going to pitch my company idea to none other than Sergey Mikhailovich Brin. 10 am will reach the Google's campus at, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, California. What an opportunity to present and share my perspectives and plans to Mr. Brin the founder of Google himself. Thank you, God, for bringing this day in my life. Thank you very much.
I got ready by 8 am and picked-up by cab which was booked by Google's team itself. Driver was a very good person, so I just enquired about time it will take and he said it's very close, and we will reach soon. I asked if is it possible to take a detour and pass via Alta Mesa Memorial Park Palo Alto, Santa Clara County? Driver said - "Yes, we can do it. It's not very far. " At Alta Mesa Memorial Park, my idol Steve Jobs was buried. And I feel that is how I can thank him for inspiration before the most important presentation of my life.
After all the security formalities I finally reached at the correct building decided for meeting. As you can expect the office of Google was even better then all I read and have seen before. Around 9:30 am, one staff member came and told me "Hey Vaibhav, Mr. Brin is actually having a meeting with Mr. Lawrence Edward Page. He is so sorry that he cannot meet you at 10 am. But he told that just after his meeting both Mr. Brin and Mr. Page would like to meet you at 12 noon". I said "Thanks, I will wait".
I now had 2 hours to spend and was thinking that it's a huge risk if I fall asleep while sitting on this comfortable sofa. Hence, I went to the world-famous free canteen and tried many of food options and spend one full hour. Really food is the best religion in the world!
Then I took a little walk around the park and decided to sit in fresh open air under nice and cool shadow of trees out there. Soon one young gentleman (looking very relaxed, and calm) came and sat next to me. I felt he should be a developer type of person. I said - "Hi, Good Morning. I am here for business presentation about my organization to Mr. Brin." Young man said - Nice. Just 30 min ago I had a session with Mr. Brin.
I could not believe my luck today, knowing what the external examiner is going to ask is one of the most "valuable" guidance I had all in my life in collages & schools. Specially with name starting from alphabet "V". I asked him - What did they asked? How are they conducting these sessions?
Young man said, I was not presenting any business to them. I am a leadership coach and conducted a session for Mr. Brin today.
I felt really how such a young person can be a coach? So, I am not getting any insight. Since there was nothing else to do, I asked him, then what did you coach Mr. Brin and why are you sitting here now? He said, sure I will tell you. But I am sitting here since after 2 hours I need to go to 380 Portage Ave, Palo Alto to meet Mr. Satyanarayana at Microsoft. I asked, who? He said the CEO of Microsoft Mr. Nadella. I could not react to this one. And finally experienced that in America a lot can happen and after that just listened to him...
So, today's session with Mr. Brin was very simple. 2 - 2 - 2. To leave 2 aspects, to acquire 2 aspects and to remain neutral with 2 aspects in an organization. Here is summery for you:
1) To Leave: Do your best to leave these 2.
Power: Leave all the powers as much you can. Do not use the power even if you have because of the structure of the organization. Leave it. Work via a direct human connection with-in you organization. A connect which do not need you to use your status or department. A connect which is beyond structure and human is the real connect to work for.
Bad contacts and habits: Leave bad habits of any kind that are pulling you down. They can be from people or from organization, try to stay away from them. As fast you leave these bad connections and habits it will be of great benefit.

2) To Acquire: Try your best to acquire these 2.
Patiance - Bing/Google says it as "the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious". For the worst condition as well keep patience. It's OK our plans sometimes do not work as we wish. It's OK sometimes our wish is not what is happening. Keep patience.
Enthusiasm - "Intense and eager enjoyment, interest, or approval". Keep yourself curious and constantly enthusiastic for everything around. This is the key to provide your best to the situation at hand.
I said, but how come a same person possess patience and enthusiasm at the same time? They are apposite to each other.
Young man said - Great people have most uncorrelated and opposite qualities at the same time. What is great about having only one quality only. See Mr. Nadella, he is at such a powerful role in Microsoft and see how humble he is? This makes him great. See many other CEO's around not all get that respect.
3) Remain neutral: Try to remain neutral for these 2.
These 2 are simple. Success and Failure. Remain neutral in both cases. Do not be overly happy if something big happened and do not be so sad if something failed. Just continue your path of work, remain neutral to success or failures.
I said, WOW, you are really so simple and effective coach. These are very interesting and useful aspects you told me. And I thanked him for this great time and knowledge. I realized that I need to meet Mr. Brin and Mr. Page, I saw the watch. It was 10 min past 12. Oh my god I got late for my meeting... I ran full speed from park to the reception...
Beep-beep! Beep-beep!! Beep-beep!!!
"Baba (Daddy) wake-up, we need to go to playground today. You are getting more and more lazy each day after leaving Tricentis last week, wake up now!!!"
I said - Yes, I am awake ... let's go to park.
Foot note: I do try to mix the real, the old wisdom and story in one. Please let me know your feedback in comments if this made any sense! It's any way 1 am IST and I really need to go to playground tomorrow morning. By the way this was a verse from one of Sanskrit text called "Geeta" which provides the explanation, and the young man was the god Krishna himself. Thanks a lot.
