"Good afternoon Cameron, how was your day so far at the playground?" ??
“Oh Tio Michael, it was SOOO much fun! ?? I got to hang on the bars above the ground and I didn’t fall, and then go down the big slide.” ??
"That’s wonderful, Cameron. It is so good for you that Mommy lives close to the playground and she can talk to other parents while you’re running and playing and laughing." ????
“Tio Michael, you said not everyone can live in my neighborhood in Homeville, why not because they are my friends?” ????
"Oh Cameron, there are many reasons why not all your friends can live in your Green Gumball Gooey neighborhood with little houses with special magic, and one of the biggest reasons is there’s no more room. ????
I know, it’s crazy. All of the houses in Green Gumball Gooey are taken by your friends and you have so many friends that they cannot all fit.
There is more demand in Green Gumball Gooey than there is supply.
This is just like your special tablet as there is only one of them and when you allow your cousin to use it, there is not a second tablet for you; there is not enough supply. ????
Some of your friends are a little farther away over in Blue Banana Bubbly where they have little houses with special magic and they have a little bit larger outdoor area for their sandboxes and playing kickball. ????
Because they are further away, the parents of your friends one year older are allowed to ride their bikes to the Purple Popsicle Plushy magic garden when you can walk over to the magic garden. ????
And then some of your other friends, those that you do not know as well and could not get a little house with special magic in Blue Banana Bubbly, live in the Teal Tamale Tuffcurl neighborhood. ?????
As you go further away from Purple Popsicle Plushy magic garden, each neighborhood has some unique characteristics.
Teal Tamale Tuffcurl has bigger houses with many more rooms that makes the parents happier so they get their own big bedroom and bathroom but their houses do not have special magic that the kids love and they are not close to the magic garden.
Those distant friends have to rely on their parents to drive them to the magic garden. ????

Of course, Cameron, if kids ruled the world, they would just make sure that the closest neighborhood to the magic garden would never run out of space so all the friends could be close by. ????
When choosing which house to live in, sometimes parents value certain features and amenities differently than the kids and that can be so frustrating. ????
Even though you would want everyone to live in Green Gumball Gooey neighborhood, the parents have to balance alternatives, these are also called trade-offs or alternatives.
This situation reminds me of when your Mommy asked if you wanted to play on your special tablet for 20 minutes and go to bed early or to read your magic book for 30 minutes and then go to bed.
She let you choose between available alternatives." ???
“Wow Tio Michael, that’s a whole new way to see bedtime, thank you.” ???
You’re welcome Cameron, have a wonderful evening. Besos! ????
