Communications, Research, Policy I The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) MSc
Dear LinkedIn Friends,
I have a great news: I’ll be going to The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for my MSc in Political Sociology this September, and I’m honoured!
While choosing between attending Masters at LSE and University of St Andrews in Scotland, I’ve ultimately decided to join the former on the part-time basis due to my academic area of interest and family reasons.
As you well-know, pursuing further studies is a significant step in every person’s life, as well as great financial commitment.
Having said that, I am looking for part-time employment or short-term consultancy, which can fit into my postgraduate schedule.
As a young professional of Polish-Jewish and Tanzanian-Muslim descent, I have long been fascinated in history of the world, geography, politics, and religion for as long as I can remember.
Coming from the industrial city of Lodz, built by Poles, Jews, Germans, and Russians, the famous “City of Four Cultures” significantly shaped my perception of geopolitics, language, history, and culture through the eyes of different nations living in Central and Eastern Europe, and beyond.
Having successfully completed my undergraduate studies in law, I pursued my executive postgraduate diploma in International Security and Strategy (“Polish-British Strategic Partnership in the EU and NATO” pathway).
My graduate thesis entitled “British raison d’état,” examined Britain’s turbulent relationship with continental Europe. The main focus of reference was on British history, politics, religion, and philosophy of the common law presenting it in opposition to its European equivalents.
As argued, the complicated historical ties had a profound impact on the UK’s foreign policy towards Europe to the present day. The result of the 2016 EU referendum is just another hallmark of this unassailable fact. Subsequently, two years later I was humbled by Lord Norman Tebbit’s request to publish an extended version of my thesis in English with the Bruges Group think tank.
In order to put my theoretical knowledge into practice I secured a traineeship placement in the Political and Press Affairs Section at the Polish Embassy in London.
After my diplomatic placement at the Embassy, I secured a position at the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce in London as a Project and Membership Manager.
In addition to my BPCC duties, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to join the Bow Group think tank, where I served as a Research Fellow and Chairman of the International Affairs Committee. This position provided me with great insight and exposure to international public affairs and foreign policy in UK at the highest level.
At the time of writing, I am founder of my own international political marketing and communication boutique consultancy and the youngest Editorial Board Member at the peer-reviewed Central European Journal of International and Security Studies in Prague.
I am also a Political Analyst at the Russian International Affairs Council. My opinion pieces, interviews, and policy analysis can be found at Forbes, The National Interest, The American Conservative, Interfax, National Review, CapX, EurActiv, to name a few.
Many of you know me well, but you’ll see, if you read through my LinkedIn profile, that I have significant skills and experience. If anyone thinks that I may be able to benefit their organisation and can offer regular employment for two or three days per week, short term contracts, occasional employment, speaking or training engagements, please do get in touch.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Adriel
