When I started my first business I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. I knew I needed a mentor to help me navigate the complexities of business and I went out in search for someone to help me. The guy that taught me the rules of business was a bloke named Harry and he had been in business for 25 years. Harry taught me everything there was to know about how he grew his business and the strategies he had used for almost three decades to get to where he was.

The issue is that this approach isn’t scaleable and Harry was constantly behind the 8 ball. Spending so much time proving he was legit ultimately meant that he had limited time to deliver value to his existing clients and this lead him into the vicious cycle of treading water, trading time for money and struggling day by day to grow his business, scale his team and keep his clients happy.
I thought all of this would change if you could be positioned as the thought leader in your industry and have prospects approach you who already knew how you add value, already knew you were the right person and were ready to do business.

- You need to map out the steps you guide your client through when delivering your service to them. Ideally try and come up with 7–9 steps that apply to your ideal clients, come up with a catchy name for each stage

A signature solution is how the best businesses have been able to craft their niche and generate business on auto-pilot for years, however this has been a closely guarded secret.
