Becoming Better Listeners Makes Us Happier People

Becoming Better Listeners Makes Us Happier People

Here is a great example of what I'm always talking about. When everyone participates in an event as equal partners it is far more fulfilling. Many of the people sitting in the workshop are public speakers and professors. Look how happy everyone is in this format, rather than having a couple of VIP speakers on stage that everyone in the audience listens to. Here all the participants are listening to each other in the circle very intently, because it's an engaging workshop about listening.

Professor Guy Itzchakov organized this workshop on listening and human flourishing, which was funded by the?Templeton World Charity Foundation. He said he put more into planning this event than his own wedding, and I believe him! When you're going through all the stages of bringing people together, there is only one thing on your mind. You want them to have a very powerful and uplifting experience.

If you become a better listener - you will become a happier person just from the act of listening.

Discover Happiness Through Listening

The event took place near the sea in Israel on November 29-30, and it was a great success. In this video, you can hear from some of the attendees about their experiences in the workshop. My favorite quote is at minute 5:40 - "If you become a better listener - you will become a happier person just from the act of listening."

Solving Polarization

As you can see in the clip - many of these leading researchers and academics are focused on fixing polarization. They were eager to learn this new format for listening because they view it as a significant breakthrough for solving this major challenge. That's why they flew all the way to Israel to experience it in person.

Innovation in Business & Leadership

I'm surrounded by many great leaders here on LinkedIn who are looking for original concepts and thought provoking perspectives. Everyone is looking for the next big business idea - the key to better leadership, innovation and sustainability. I'm sure some very evolved leaders already understand that the new innovation and key to our sustainability involves enhancing our human interaction. This is a great example of how it will happen and the kind of events we can look forward to in the new era. But you don't have to wait for anything to start - you can start gathering like this in small groups to discuss topics that are important to you right now.

My best part of the article is ''evolved leaders already understand that the new innovation and key to our sustainability involves enhancing our human interaction'' which shows their adaptability to the ever changing world dynamics. Thanks for the post Josia Nakash
