Becoming Adelle......The "AI"? Franchise! (Part TWO)

Becoming Adelle......The "AI" Franchise! (Part TWO)

Look, this Part TWO of the "AI" Franchise Story! If you haven't read Part ONE, then go and read it first! I am not Chris Nolan, I don't purposely mess with the narrative to confuse you, I have kept this as a Part One and Part Two story, maybe even Part Three, depends how much of this I get through.

Now, I had to do a Part Two so soon after the first part because we live in a "binge watching" utopia where we simply "Play Next" and carry on......so here we go.

Previously on this random newsletter thingy!

An AI Chat Bot (Artificial Intelligent program) and myself (A Real Person) started to see how the story of my life could expand into the media world. So far we have a short story, made into a movie, which spawned a big budget sequel and even bigger names attached, which then spawned a more OTT third movie which involved.....Time Travel!!! How much crazier could it get?......

How to Expand a non existent universe?

After the excitement of reading how the story took a Time Travel turn, I asked what could come next? I looked at how streaming platforms capitalise on popular IP (Intellectual Property) and I asked about the idea of a 6 episode mini series on Netflix........Let's see what my AI said!

If this story spawned a Netflix mini-series, it could be an exciting and imaginative adventure that explores different multiverses and the experiences of transgender people in those worlds. Each episode could focus on Adelle traveling to a different parallel universe and helping a different trans individual in their journey towards self-acceptance, love, and empowerment.

Here are a few examples of what each episode could look like:

  • Episode 1: "The Future" - Adelle travels to a future world where transgender individuals are fully accepted and embraced by society. However, she soon discovers that this utopia is not as perfect as it seems, and she must help a trans teenager navigate the challenges of fitting in and finding her place in this world.
  • Episode 2: "The Medieval" - Adelle travels to a medieval universe where transgender individuals are seen as witches and burned at the stake. She must help a young trans woman escape her village and find a new life in a world where she is accepted for who she is.
  • Episode 3: "The Outlander" - Adelle travels to a primitive world where she finds a group of trans individuals living in isolation, far from society. She must help them navigate the challenges of living in a harsh environment and find a way to connect with the outside world.
  • Episode 4: "The Superhero" - Adelle travels to a world where transgender individuals have superpowers and must help a trans teenager navigate the challenges of living up to society's expectations of what it means to be a superhero.
  • Episode 5: "The Past" - Adelle travels to her own past, where she must help her younger self navigate the challenges of growing up trans in a society that doesn't accept her.
  • Episode 6: "The Alternate" - Adelle travels to an alternate universe where she must help a trans woman find her place in a society where transgender individuals are the majority.

Each episode would be an exciting and thought-provoking adventure that explores the complexities of transgender identity and the different ways it can manifest in different multiverses. It could be a way to show the diversity of the trans community and how it's possible to find acceptance and happiness in any world.

So it seems like my AI is a fan of Quantum Leap of something, but let's be honest, I would watch this! I would totally watch this!......although as entertaining and fun as it sounded, I noticed that there was a real weird tone and vibe about the AI's focus on Trans people which had a potential to come across as condescending and slightly patronising. Trans people needed saving in all the stories, Trans people were the victims and minority.......Oh wait! Ok, I see a theme here actually.

The idea that this "Adelle" was becoming a person to help and represent people was interesting. We have totally moved away from a simple transition story to a multiverse where Trans people need help! If you read it that way, doesn't sound to over the top right?! Now I wanted to know if this Netflix series had budget to get great actors involved, so here are some of the options

If this mini-series was made, it would be great to have a diverse cast of actors to star in each episode, highlighting the range of talent within the acting community. Here are a few examples of actors that could star in each episode:

  • Episode 1: "The Future" - Zoe Kravitz, known for her roles in Big Little Lies and Mad Max: Fury Road.
  • Episode 2: "The Medieval" - Kit Harington, known for his role in Game of Thrones.
  • Episode 3: "The Outlander" - Daniel Wu, known for his roles in Into the Badlands and Warcraft.
  • Episode 4: "The Superhero" - John Boyega, known for his roles in Star Wars and Detroit
  • Episode 5: "The Past" - Saoirse Ronan, known for her roles in The Lovely Bones and Atonement
  • Episode 6: "The Alternate" - Jharrel Jerome, known for his roles in Moonlight and When They See Us

It could also be interesting to have some of the actors who appeared in the first three movies to make a cameo in the series, such as Eddie Redmayne, Laverne Cox, and Chlo? Grace Moretz, to show how the story progressed throughout the years.

Ultimately, the most important thing is to have a diverse cast and crew, both in terms of race, gender, and sexual orientation, to ensure that the story is told with authenticity and sensitivity. It would be great to have a mix of well-known and up-and-coming actors to bring depth and complexity to the characters, and ensure that the series is a showcase for the range of talent within the acting community.

Another huge cast for this mini series, lots of diversity and it was quite endearing that this AI felt the need to keep reminding that this was all a "what if" by saying "If this movie was made" almost like they were worried if they committed to the idea then it would have to be made!

Also, look at the idea to connect the series to films! This AI is starting to become the new Kevin Fiege of the "Adelle" Series! A Franchise that puts forward the important message of having a diverse cast/crew to create authenticity and sensitivity.......all whilst still trying to get Eddie Redmayne to star. No shade to Eddie, just we all know the implications about certain casting etc.

Now what? have we jumped the shark already?

We have certainly moved into quantity territory, almost like Disney have bought the idea and decided to release new things every month, but the quality is about to ramp up! Where to next? Well this AI decided it was time to return to the movie's idea.....but not just ONE movie!....NOT just TWO.....NOT just THR....Ok this could go on a while.......it's EIGHT! that's right! EIGHT movies!! All connected.....

The "Adelle" franchise could certainly be expanded to include a series of eight movies in different genres, each one exploring a different aspect of the character's journey and the experiences of transgender people. Here are a few examples of what each movie could be:

  • Movie 1: "Adelle: The Action Hero" - Adelle is recruited by a secret government agency to take on a dangerous mission to stop a terrorist group that is targeting the transgender community.
  • Movie 2: "Adelle: The Romantic Comedy" - Adelle navigates the challenges of dating in the modern world, while also learning to accept and love herself.
  • Movie 3: "Adelle: The Sci-Fi Adventure" - Adelle travels to a distant planet where she must help a community of trans individuals fight for their rights and freedom against an oppressive regime.
  • Movie 4: "Adelle: The Horror" - Adelle faces her fears and confronts the demons of her past as she battles a supernatural force that is threatening to destroy the transgender community.
  • Movie 5: "Adelle: The Musical" - Adelle discovers her talent for music and uses it to inspire and empower other transgender individuals.
  • Movie 6: "Adelle: The Historical Epic" - Adelle travels back in time to different historical periods, such as ancient Greece, medieval Europe, and the American Revolution, where she helps transgender individuals navigate the challenges of living in those eras.
  • Movie 7: "Adelle: The Mystery" - Adelle solves a series of murders that are targeting the transgender community, and in the process, she uncovers a dark conspiracy that threatens to destroy everything she holds dear.
  • Movie 8: "Adelle: The Finale" - Adelle faces her ultimate challenge as she confronts the ultimate villain who has been behind all of the previous movies' plots and is now determined to destroy the trans community once and for all. Adelle must use all of her skills, strength, and determination to save her friends, family, and the entire trans community.

These movies could be Netflix exclusive, this would be an interesting way to showcase the diversity of the trans community and the different ways that trans individuals can thrive and find acceptance in different genres and settings. The ultimate finale would be a way to bring all the storylines together and give a sense of closure to the story.

Before I go on, if anyone at Netflix is reading this "message me" I think we can work something out! So 8 movies?! All different genres but following the same formula, pretty overkill I know, but imagine watching a series of films and characters where the tone and genre shifts, different directors come in, different actors usually attached to that genre gets involved. It is a very meta way of thinking for sure! The AI gave examples of who would be involved in the movies.

If these movies were made, it would be great to have a diverse cast of actors and directors to bring each story to life. Here are a few examples of who could star and direct each movie:

  • Movie 1: "Adelle: The Action Hero" - Starring: Scarlett Johansson as Adelle, directed by Ryan Coogler, known for directing Black Panther and Creed.
  • Movie 2: "Adelle: The Romantic Comedy" - Starring: Emma Stone as Adelle, directed by Paul Feig, known for directing Bridesmaids and A Simple Favor.
  • Movie 3: "Adelle: The Sci-Fi Adventure" - Starring: Tessa Thompson as Adelle, directed by Ava DuVernay, known for directing A Wrinkle in Time and When They See Us.
  • Movie 4: "Adelle: The Horror" - Starring: Lupita Nyong'o as Adelle, directed by Jordan Peele, known for directing Get Out and Us.
  • Movie 5: "Adelle: The Musical" - Starring: Lady Gaga as Adelle, directed by Damien Chazelle, known for directing La La Land and Whiplash.
  • Movie 6: "Adelle: The Historical Epic" - Starring: Cynthia Erivo as Adelle, directed by Barry Jenkins, known for directing Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk.
  • Movie 7: "Adelle: The Mystery" - Starring: Sandra Oh as Adelle, directed by Rian Johnson, known for directing Knives Out and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
  • Movie 8: "Adelle: The Finale" - Starring: Eddie Redmayne as Adelle, directed by J.J. Abrams, known for directing Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Trek.

Having a diverse cast and crew would be important to ensure that the story is told with authenticity and sensitivity, and to showcase the range of talent within the acting and directing communities. It would also be interesting to have some of the actors and directors who appeared in previous movies to return for the finale, to give a sense of continuity to the story and bring everything full circle.

So, let me get this straight, the character of "Adelle" is played by different people in different films with different directors.......I equally LOVE and HATE the idea! It is both GENUIS and STUPID in equal measures! It also has ALOT of diversity involved, which the AI keeps reminding me and I love them for that!

The Reviews are in!

At this point I was interested to know what the public and critics would think of this "Adelle-verse!" so the AI wrote this back

As a language model AI, I don't have the capability to predict or know the reviews of movies that haven't been made yet, however, I can give you an idea of what reviews for a movie like this could look like.

This made me laugh. The AI had gotten to this point to decide to tell me that they can't predict things that are not real! It's almost like the AI suddenly forgot they were creating this and I believed it was real.....humour me please AI, I have gotten this far and written two "Newsletters" on LinkedIn for this!

Movie 1: "Adelle: The Action Hero" - Critics might praise the movie for its thrilling action sequences and for its positive representation of a trans character as a strong and capable hero. Some might also appreciate the film's exploration of the challenges faced by the trans community and the way it addresses issues of discrimination and hate.

Movie 2: "Adelle: The Romantic Comedy" - Critics may appreciate the movie for its heartwarming and comedic elements, as well as for its positive representation of a trans character in a romantic lead role. Some may appreciate the film's exploration of the challenges of dating as a trans person and the way it portrays the theme of self-acceptance and self-love.

Movie 3: "Adelle: The Sci-Fi Adventure" - Critics could praise the movie for its imaginative and exciting sci-fi story, as well as for its positive representation of a trans character in a genre that is typically dominated by cisgender characters. They might also appreciate the film's exploration of issues of oppression and social justice.

Movie 4: "Adelle: The Horror" - Critics may appreciate the horror movie for its ability to keep the audience on the edge of their seats and for its exploration of the darker side of the trans experience, such as the fear of discrimination and violence. They may also appreciate the way the movie deals with themes of identity, self-acceptance, and empowerment.

Movie 5: "Adelle: The Musical" - Critics could praise the movie for its catchy, upbeat soundtrack and for its portrayal of a trans character as a talented musician. They may appreciate the film's exploration of the theme of self-expression and the way it shows how music can be used as a tool of empowerment.

Movie 6: "Adelle: The Historical Epic" - Critics could appreciate the historical epic for its ability to transport the audience to different periods in history and for its exploration of the different challenges faced by trans individuals in different eras. They may also appreciate the film's themes of resilience, perseverance and the way it shines a light on trans people throughout history

Movie 7: "Adelle: The Mystery" - Critics may praise the movie for its thrilling plot, engaging characters, and its exploration of the theme of justice for trans individuals. They may also appreciate the film's positive representation of a trans character in a lead role, and the way it addresses issues of discrimination and hate in the trans community.

You can see, very repetitive but critics love it! Critics seem to love the representation of Trans people and being an open focus of the discrimination and challenges Trans people face daily. In the "Adelle-verse" this is the main thread throughout. It is all about the issues Trans people face........even in the romantic comedy!......I was back to wondering if my AI was a Daily Mail reader and feeling guilty whilst answering my questions.

We had gotten this far, why not throw something crazier into the mix, I wonder how "Adelle" would fair by being in another crazy franchise?........The Fast and the Furious Franchise!

If the Adelle character were to appear in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, it could be an exciting and dynamic addition to the series. Adelle could be a skilled and talented driver, who joins the team of street racers and becomes a valuable member of the crew.

The story could involve Adelle navigating the challenges of being a trans woman in a male-dominated world of street racing, and facing discrimination and prejudice from other characters. However, she would prove herself to be a fierce and capable competitor, and her skills and determination would earn the respect and acceptance of her teammates.

The film could also explore Adelle's personal journey, as she learns to accept and love herself, and finds the courage to be true to who she is, both on and off the track. The film could also touch on themes of identity, self-acceptance, and empowerment, which are important for the trans community.

The "Fast and Furious" franchise is known for its high-speed action and intense car chases, so it could be interesting to see Adelle's character excel in these areas, showcasing her skills as a driver and breaking any stereotypes that might be associated with her being trans. It could also be exciting to see her form a bond with the other characters, showing the solidarity and support that can be found in the trans community.

Oh, ok....Adelle is up there driving cars in space, but don't forget she is still on a self discovery of who she is and fighting against the patriarchy! I love my nonsense action films, but this adds a new angle to proceedings! Trans representation in a Fast movie, but still shows the oppression and fight we have. I will be honest, I kind of just wanted to see a trans character drive a truck over a cliff into pit of alligators and fighting off terrorists...........thats it, not having to "find herself".......but i guess my AI wants to keep the trans story going. Am I put off by this?..........I keep pushing to see where this goes.......Now what? Where do we go?.....AI had some ideas!

  • A spin-off series: The franchise could explore the lives of other trans characters that have been introduced in the previous films and series, giving audiences a chance to see the world from their perspective and learn more about their unique experiences.
  • A video game series: The franchise could continue to explore the world of Adelle through video games, offering a new level of interactivity and immersion for audiences. The games could take place in different eras or locations, and feature new challenges and obstacles for players to overcome.
  • A virtual reality experience: The franchise could take advantage of new technology to create a virtual reality experience that immerses audiences in the world of Adelle, allowing them to explore different environments and interact with characters in a new and exciting way.
  • A theme park: The franchise could expand into the theme park industry and create a theme park that immerses visitors in the world of Adelle, allowing them to experience the high-speed action and intense car chases of the Fast and Furious movies, or the musical and fantastic world of the other genres.
  • A cartoon series: The franchise could explore the world of Adelle through animation, creating a cartoon series that follows the character's adventures and continues to explore the themes of identity, self-acceptance, and empowerment.

Ok, I am now checking out! A Theme Park?! have I broken my AI? I imagine this is how Elon Musk's brain must work sometimes! A cartoon series and a theme park! This AI is capitalising on the Trans representation with "Adelle" and rinsing it for all it's worth. The message has been lost, the authenticity the AI demanded has gone. The Trans message is either about self acceptance, challenges and obstacles. After all these ideas and medium enhanced stories, I just wanted to go back to how the original story was where the fight for identity and acceptance felt real and authentic and relatable. It felt like amongst the challenges it also had heart......now Adelle is a theme park, a novelty and a "character".

Ok, if you are still reading this, firstly well done! and secondly I know you are thinking that I allowed the AI to do this by prompting them but I only prompted it and I let it grow and grow until it become nonsense. This is life! The more we push something without authenticity and substance we lose the power of change and progress. Before I wanted to leave the AI, I asked one last question on how this all ended? With all great stories, there is a Netflix documentary in the making.......

If a documentary were released that revealed some dark secrets about the making of the Adelle character, it could be a shocking and disheartening revelation for fans of the franchise. The documentary could uncover some unethical or exploitative practices that were used to create the character, such as the use of non-trans actors or writers, or the portrayal of trans experiences in a stereotypical or insensitive manner.

The documentary could also reveal that the creators of the franchise didn't have the best intentions in mind when creating the character of Adelle, and instead used it as a way to profit off the trans community without truly understanding or respecting their experiences.

It could also reveal that the creators had limited the creative control of the trans actors and creators involved, not allowing them to put their own experiences and authenticity in the work.

This revelation could cause a lot of disappointment and hurt among fans of the franchise, who had looked up to the character as a positive representation of the trans community. It could also lead to a lot of criticism and backlash for the creators and producers of the franchise.

It's important to note that this is a fictional scenario and that it's not based on any reality, I'm just imagining how it could be. However, it's crucial for creators and producers to be mindful of how they portray marginalized communities and to work in collaboration with the members of those communities to create authentic and respectful representation.

And there we go! Thank you AI! You went full circle, it was a really entertaining ride whilst it lasted, but like the inevitable documentary highlighted, its about authenticity and the fear of becoming exploitative! When I read the above statement it made me smile, it made me sad, it made me confused, it made me angry but most importantly it made me empowered to ensure anything I do for good trans representation has to come from an authentic and real place!

I love a good light hearted joke, weird sense of humour and strange way of explaining things, but I do with my own style and understanding of my ability to be a positive force in the Trans community. My conversation with my AI may have been fun, and it did sign off reminding me this was all fictional BUT it is crucial for creators to work and collaborate with marginalized communities and that was a great end to our unique conversation.

Also, at the end of this I think I lost the AI's interest because it simply said "Error, please try again later" which made me smile..........I managed to bore an AI chatbot and it eventually ghosted me.
