Become a Thought Leader in Your Niche: How to Use IFTTT to Monitor Twitter

Monitoring keywords within your niche on Twitter and commenting on every one you can is a powerful strategy for small YouTubers looking to grow their audience and establish themselves as thought leaders in their field. By regularly commenting on relevant tweets, you can engage with potential viewers and demonstrate your knowledge and expertise in your niche. This can help you build relationships with other influencers and industry experts, as well as attract new subscribers to your channel. In addition, by staying up-to-date on the latest trends and conversations in your niche, you can generate ideas for new video content and stay relevant to your audience. Overall, regularly commenting on relevant tweets can help you grow your audience organically and establish yourself as a go-to source of information and expertise in your niche.

  1. Go to the IFTTT website and create an account if you don't already have one.
  2. Click on the "My Applets" tab and then click the "New Applet" button.
  3. Click on the "this" text to specify the trigger for your applet.
  4. In the search box, type "Twitter" and select the "New tweet by you" or "New tweet matching search" option.
  5. If you choose "New tweet by you," you will need to connect your Twitter account to IFTTT. If you choose "New tweet matching search," you will need to specify the keywords you want to track.
  6. Click on the "that" text to specify the action for your applet.
  7. In the search box, type "Gmail" or "Slack" to select the appropriate service. If you select Gmail, you will need to choose the "Send an email" option and specify the email address you want to send the tweets to. If you select Slack, you will need to choose the "Post a message" option and specify the Slack channel you want to post the tweets to.
  8. Click the "Create action" button to finish setting up your applet.
  9. Click the "Finish" button to complete the setup process.

Now, whenever a new tweet matching your specified keywords is posted on Twitter, it will be sent to your Gmail or Slack channel. You can customize the applet further by adding filters or using variables to specify certain conditions for the tweets that are sent.
