In the previous 2 years,?TeKnowledge?World Wide?has brought nearly?$250,000 of products and services to organizations that work hard to build community and support vulnerable populations.
Our first project in 2020,?Historic Craven Hall, pulled this landmark museum and center of learning into the 21st century, leaving a legacy of safe, effective education and historical preservation?for the next generation of students.
Last year, in 2021,?we upgraded the?Benjamin Wilson Senior Center?to ensure that senior citizens and the special needs students who utilized their facility had access to safe, efficient and updated communications and entertainment equipment.
This year, they’ve?selected?Berachah Church?as their?TeksGiving 2022?recipient.?Berachah Church is a central and driving force within the community, serving men, women and children in a wide variety of ways, most notably through providing temporary housing, mother-baby groups, youth groups, and a rotating food pantry.?They are in need of an updated security system including key card access and cameras to ensure the children they care for are safe.?They are also in need of updated WiFi equipment, and the means to engage with the community on a larger scale, especially the food pantry, to respond to growing needs.
Our network of volunteer technicians, IT?professionals and generous supporters make these annual projects a reality by giving so much of themselves and their state-of-the-art products; however, we need the community’s help to cover travel costs, food to feed our volunteers, and items not able to be donated.
