About Space Workforce 2030
The space industry is at a pivotal moment. With rapid growth across all sectors, we need a strong, vibrant, and inclusive workforce to stay at the cutting edge of innovation. Savvy industry leaders know we can’t afford to leave talented individuals behind.
Making progress to ensure diversity in our ranks is essential to the future success of our industry, but the challenges we face are bigger than a single organization. As space leaders, we play key roles shaping culture and setting priorities at our respective companies. We also share common challenges that can benefit by our working together.
Space Workforce 2030 is an effort that demonstrates the power of our collaboration. By signing the Space Workforce 2030 pledge, we’ve made a long-term commitment to improving diversity in our workforce and holding ourselves accountable for measurable results.
Specifically, we have pledged to take collective action to significantly increase the number of women and traditionally underrepresented groups in our technical workforce and senior leadership positions. Additionally, we work with educational institutions at both the university and K-12 levels to increase the number of diverse aerospace engineering graduates.
We publicly share aggregated industry data annually to show progress toward our goals. As we pursue the exciting opportunities that await in space, we anticipate our actions will have a profound impact on the future of the industry. While our members may compete in business, we agree that working together toward an inclusive workforce will have a lasting benefit for all.
