Situated on Parliament Street in Dublin's iconic Temple Bar area, The Turk's Head Chop House re-opened earlier this year after a four year hiatus. Following closures due to covid restrictions, the premises underwent a complete refurbishment, opening their doors again in Spring 2024.

The new refurbishment was designed by Eunan Byrne and fitted out by Pure Fitout , and included a complete renovation of the ground floor and basement, creation of new bars and back bars, and installation of traditional Irish pub screens and drinking ledges throughout the premises.

HALT were engaged to treat reclaimed pine and spruce to be fitted throughout the premises. The timber was impregnated with Burnblock? at our Belfast facility, achieving a Euroclass rating of b-s1,d0 - the highest possible rating for treated timber.

The treated timber was fitted throughout both floors of the venue, reflecting the rustic, traditional Irish atmosphere of the pub. Burnblock? has no impact on the physical appearance of treated timber, allowing for complete fire protection without compromising on the finished look of a project.
