PEF Daily Devotional for Entrepreneurs/Professionals - 19 October 2022

Verse: Genesis 12:1 Now [in Haran] the Lord had said to Abram,

“Go away from your country,

And from your relatives

And from your father’s house,

To the land which I will show you;

Practical Message:

In verse 2 of this chapter, the Lord uses the word "And". After giving Abraham the instructions to leave his country, relatives and old environment, the Lord told Him what He will do. The Lord said, And I will make you a great nation,

And I will bless you [abundantly],

And make your name great (exalted, distinguished);

And you shall be a blessing [a source of great good to others];

Before Abraham became the father of all nations, he had to leave something behind. He has been barren for years and when he left as instructed, his journey to fruitfulness and becoming a father of all nations was activated.

For you reading this right now, what do you need to leave behind so you can become who God wants you to be.

Have you been keeping the wrong friends who push you to do the wrong things maybe?

Do you have family members who doubt your abilities, speak negatively and question your own future? (I am not advising you to block out your family members but to use wisdom)

Do you have the wrong habits and attitudes that are hurting your future and you keep practicing them?

Do you need to leave your present location to go to a better location to have access to more opportunities?

Dep Patel says "We either build good habits that support us as we move toward our goals or bad ones that undermine our ability to achieve and succeed. One thing is for certain: it's going to be difficult to reach your dreams if you are living with a slew of bad habits"

Question for you again. What must you leave behind so you can rise?

Prayer Point:

Lord give me the grace to leave behind that which is holding me back from my manifestation. Father give me the grace to obey your instructions and counsel so I can manifest the destiny you have for me in the name of Jesus Christ.
