Now this is what the LORD Almighty says; Give careful thought to your ways. Haggai 1:5

In ancient Israel, the land had been hit by many calamities and the Lord sent Prophet Haggai to tell them to 'give careful thought' to their ways. In Isaiah 1:18, God commanded Prophet Isaiah to tell the people to come to Him so that they reason together.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the?Lord...Isaiah 1:18

How often do we get into trouble with our rush decisions? How many losses have we made that would have been otherwise avoided if we took the time to consider the risk? It is God's will that we take time to assess, reflect, weigh, evaluate & think before we act.

“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’ Luke 14:28-30

On loving God with our minds...

To “love the Lord thy God with all thy mind” is done?when our thoughts dwell on Him; and His holiness, and goodness, and love, and mercy, and beauty… Then we reply to His perfection with prayer, praise, perhaps a song, and worship “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23).

The Lord made us in His image & likeness & gave us a soul to be able to relate with Him. The soul is the seat of emotions, the will & the mind.

God wants us to be critical & creative thinkers so that we can find our way around the issues of life.

Karen, I love the way you think. If everyone would follow the Lords words of wisdom, the world would be a better place to live. Never change your way of thinking and always follow God no mater what satin may send your way and "he will try."
