To become a billionaire is easy: really?

Recently I attended an NLP workshop out of my inquisitiveness on the subject. It was going all fine and I loved the vibes in the room. I totally believe that using the right language can make a paradigm shift in your life however when the trainer said, “Making money is easy, all you need to do is reprogram your belief about money”, I couldn’t follow through. Don’t you need to work towards it? He went on to say that your thoughts are the reason you aren’t a billionaire yet. What about actions? Aren’t actions responsible as well?
Wait! Which billionaires are we talking about Mukesh Ambani, Richard Branson, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffet? Can you join this list by reprogramming your belief about money? I guess not unless you work smarter 24*7 you can’t be a billionaire. Luck, affirmations, and destiny may help you in acquiring money but it can’t help you in multiplying it.
So with all due respect to the law of attraction, manifestation and NLP gurus, if someone is telling you “making millions is easy”, don’t believe them, except if you are about to inherit it.
One must also understand that in the first place making money wasn’t their primary or only objective. It was an outcome of the greatest inventions these guys made, the contribution their discoveries or products made to the society at large combined with determination, perseverance, leadership and business acumen.
If meager manifestation could make someone millionaire, most people would stay at home and enjoy life. Like any marketing gimmick of fairness creams, some people are selling such concepts. Anybody who has a huge desire for money or success can be sold these concepts easily.
I am a hopeless optimist and I believe in miracles, mystics and all spirituality that there is. However making big bucks is pure hard work, creativity, and intelligence which help to multiply and keep it.
I am not trying to discourage you if you have a billionaire dream. My point is your actions have to match your dream. Your words must ignite your actions in that direction every single minute. You can become a billionaire most certainly if you
- Invent/Innovate: This is what entrepreneurship is all about. Creating a solution either from scratch (invention) or renewing/reviving products and services (innovation) which can help others massively. Microsoft, Facebook, Philips, Amazon, you name a company and it has a history of invention or innovation. If you can build something great, you have the highest probability of becoming a billionaire in the future.
- Invest: If you are a professional or in a job and are getting pay cheques every month. You have an opportunity to create a compounding effect from your money. The earlier you do it, the better. Else you can increase the amount of investment. Do the research and make smart choices of investing and making money.
“Opportunities come infrequently. When it rains gold, put out the bucket, not the thimble” – Warren Buffet
- Master a skill and sell it well: This skill can be an art or technical skill; it shall be something people can hire you for and pay awesomely. Like an actor, painter or marketer. Companies pay huge to marketing companies; some of the old names in any of these fields earned millions in paychecks for just one campaign. That’s how worthy creativity and talent is. If you have a talent or skill which stands out, you can be a billionaire by consistent efforts in the right direction.
These 3 are the sure-shot ways to be a billionaire in my experience. For me personally, the third one worked very well in making good money and second is something I endorse since college days. Not a billionaire yet, still having a cozy life, thanks to each penny earned and invested by me. If you know more options to become a billionaire do leave in comments, it may help someone. If some tantra, remedy short cut or tactics taught by money and wealth gurus, do share that too. The experience would help others too.

Your delusional if it's so easy why aren't you on Forbes? If I google your name will I see a net worth? If you have no skin the game then you shouldn't be talking. What you mean is that having alot of money tends to generate more money. This is correct and to achieve any wealth you MUST run a business or do real estate. There is NO other way anything else is a lie. Coming from a real entrepenuer with a real mental disorder who's been homeless with ADHD-PI.

5 年I totally agree with you. Success is the result of planning, superior execution and grit.
I believe the journey is more important than the destination. There is nothing wrong with such ambitious goals, because it means the person is ready to put in the effort required to make that happen.

5 年Very well written and articulated. Manifestation, visualisation followed by consistent actions and keep becoming better and better at whatever you are doing is the key. What manifestation, visualisation, right beliefs taking you towards your goals/dreams is the outcome/destination. 'Actions' they are the path/process through which you go through. I don't know whose NLP program you attended but whatever you heard, felt and understood about NLP may be the trainer's perception about this science. Whereas NLP doesn't talk about only changing beliefs will make you successful. There is a big assumption in the sentence mentioned "If you change your beliefs about money, you will become a billionaire"?? Well crafted Dear ????
