I am beyond excited to join Beckon Capital as CEO.

I’ve found my tribe!?

At Beckon, we share a sense of urgency to improve social, environmental and financial impacts in communities by investing in and helping businesses assess and achieve?impact/ESG goals.

After working across government, ministerial and NGOs for three decades, it feels right to land in #GrowthEquity and particularly with a #BCorp focusing on impact/ESG businesses and projects. Beckon Capital provides funding to growth oriented SMEs and social enterprises that align with our impact and sustainability values and purpose.?

I first met Chris Selth, the founder and CIO six years ago. We clicked straight away and his words:?

“The world is in chaos and government is not the answer, I want to get capital for the businesses and projects that will change the world”, were music to my ears.?Chris is one of the most intelligent and insightful people I know and I am thrilled to be part of his vision and mission.?

Beckon’s?Property and Built Environment area is led by suprema Linda Gregoriou and the extraordinary Martin Hayes. Linda manages and directs our property and built environment investments; marrying healthy financial returns with cultural, social, sustainable and design solutions.

The Beckon Team is exceptional with the likes of Beth Franklin our Impact and Governance Goddess, David Nolan (Bushy) our head of strategic engagement who likes to deep dive into the world of macro economics, ESG and tokenisation, David Mills and Issac Meincke who are second to none when it comes to leading our investment work, Jamie Crowley our most creative Analyst,?and our Executive Officer with the mostest Fiona Prior who comes armed with an MBA and a keen eye for proofreading content and grammar.?

Beckon’s Advisory is designed to support impact/ESG propositions to assess investability and sustainability. We take a collaborative approach to get business investment and BCorp ready, by combining Beckon’s financial expertise with impact/ESG. We ask businesses and enterprises to answer the fundamental questions: Is my business viable? Is my business investable? And, importantly, is it sustainable?

Beckon recognises that NFPs need help too. Many have the assets and capital but not the structure to work differently. Their propositions (projects and initiatives) need?to be assessed for viability, investability and sustainability. Additionally, and as importantly, we recognise and provide the means to measure true social, environmental and financial impact and sustainability.?

We have also applied our enterprise tools and processes to social purpose and impact ideas to help get NFP propositions off the ground!
