Because People Matter

So many have asked me why our logo is "Because People Matter". It sometimes seems controversial to own a collection agency with a slogan like that. Here's my point; People do matter. Unexpected bills are a part of everyone's life everyday. All of us prioritize what and who gets paid first, if at all. We all want to pay, it's tough sometimes and if choosing between food and paying a medical bill the choice is obvious. The last thing we need is someone calling us to remind us we are in a rough spot. When Dignity calls, we want to treat people as if we were talking to a family member. let's break down the fear factor and work with people to get bills paid without threats and adversarial conversations. People will either pay their bill or not. My job as your collection agency is to find out which one you are. The ones who won't pay just hang up. If a person will even make an excuse then inside they really want to pay. Let's take away the need to make excuses. Let's just be honest and work with what we have. At my agency, we will not report to the credit bureau as long as the person is willing to make a payment each month. We will not send them letters, call then or interfere in their lives whatsoever. We record every conversation so if there is ever a "he said she said" moment we can remind each other what was really said. Just because we are a collection agency does not give us a license to abuse anyone and as brothers and sisters it is our responsibility to help people up, not push them down.
