“Because knowledge is for sharing”

“Because knowledge is for sharing”

That was an answer from an candidate I interviewed yesterday when I asked why I should take them on as an intern.

That got me thinking.

I got up at 2am this morning to work on some projects I have under way for my clients. I didn't get up at this hour because I love work more than I love sleep, on the contrary. I find it hard to switch off as part of  my dna is continually streamlining, strategizing and looking at ways to help companies grow. I am not a person that has the ability to stop work at 5pm, go home and switch off as I see opportunities everywhere (I wish I could). The projects I require the help of interns for are all connected, either by companies, products, manufacturers or by contacts. I needed to find the right mix of people that can work well as a team but are strong enough to push the boundaries and look outside the square for solutions.

I didn't realize how much I use Linkedin, and yes, there are a many people like myself. We use it to connect in groups for problem solving, research, investment opportunities, gathering information on companies and their capabilities and seeing the people that drive them; we also use it to connect to like minded individuals who we can share and learn from.

I have a hugely eclectic range of personal and professional interests and an insatiable appetite for knowledge, I read a great deal on a lot of different platforms and sometimes I come across an individual who inspires me with what they have achieved. Not by the standard measure, but their ability to see things in a different light, who question and who have the strength to stand by their beliefs and convictions and blaze a new path.

Linkedin, it is filled with people that believe “Knowledge is for sharing” that is how we grow companies and create trailblazing leaders.

The team I will be putting together will be enabling companies to increase productivity, reduce expenditure and will identify new products to reduce accident, health and safety issues, if I contact you, I hope you are someone who also shares our drive.

Knowledge is for sharing.
