Is it because the Chinese are more intelligent than Indians that China develops faster than India?

In my opinion, China’s rapid development can be attributed to its strategic focus on manufacturing and aggressive economic reforms initiated in 1978. This allowed China to become a global manufacturing hub, producing around 35% of the world’s manufactured goods. Additionally, China has invested heavily in infrastructure and education, particularly in STEM fields, which has supported its industrial growth.

India, on the other hand, has focused more on service-oriented industries like IT and software development. While this has contributed significantly to India’s GDP growth, it hasn’t propelled India into becoming a major manufacturing powerhouse like China. For instance, companies like Infosys have thrived by leveraging India’s skilled workforce for software services.

From whatever I have observed about both countries’ educational systems — China emphasizes standardized STEM education while India focuses on broader subjects — it seems that these differing approaches influence their economic trajectories rather than any inherent differences in intelligence among their populations.

Are you aware of how these differing educational emphases might shape future economic competition between these two nations?
