Because Better Member Engagement Means Healthier Lives

Because Better Member Engagement Means Healthier Lives

A growing number of Americans are delaying important medical care because of the high cost of treatment. This, combined with less than personalized care when dealing with health plans and providers has led to widespread health disengagement. What many people tend to forget, though, is that forgoing essential medical care can carry significant consequences and may compound costs of treatment later down the line. ?

This more recent trend is just one example of the obstacles that health payers are having to navigate as they work to improve member engagement. So, how do we break the cycle of costly, delayed care and reach our most vulnerable members in a way that improves outcomes and lowers costs? ?

By implementing a team-based approach. ?

If we really truly want to get the member to the right care when they want it, how they want it, where they want it, at an affordable price, it will require providers and payers to work together, collaboratively, building out care models that work for both parties.?

Access to comprehensive healthcare shouldn’t be a privilege. Walgreens is committed to unlocking that access for your members through our community-centered value-based care options.?

We partner with health plans to:?

  • Identify what’s behind the health disengagement in your member population and create strategies to solve these disconnects.??
  • Provide convenient and trusted touchpoints along your members’ health journeys to break the cycle of disengagement and lead to greater loyalty, satisfaction, and cost savings.??
  • Achieve your plan’s goals, while also creating differentiation in the crowded market and improving STARS/HEDIS measures.? ?

These are just a few of the insights you’ll find in our new ebook, Engagement Is Everything. Download to gain valuable insights and strategies for engaging your unengaged, underserved, and unattributed member populations.?

John Driscoll Currently reading "Good to Great" by Jim Collings and Walgreens's is all over it. In light of your post curious to know since the book was written in 2001, over 20 years ago now, if... 1) its hedgehog concept is still to "be the best at convenient drug stores"? the ebook you shared would imply this for two reasons 1) Walgreens has multidisciplinary care teams within 5 miles of 80% of the US population 2) the way it is looking to surround patients with a better engagement model to drive better health outcomes for them 2) is its economic denominator still measured by profit per customer visit? 3) if these two items still hold true, what has sustained these as Walgreens North Star's still 20+ years later?
