Aperol or Campari for your summer Spritz?

I hate when "Insta-influencers" tag beautiful pictures of Sicily or Roma with the "Italy is always a good idea" or "Italians do it better" for clickbaiting. But, one must admit that this summer, if you get tired of the French offer in terms of fashion exhibitions (Ala?a! Madame Grès! Schiaparelli! Monsieur Saint Laurent!), going south to check what's up is a good idea.
But the trip will not be the Dolce Vita, given the amount of things to see, experience and buy. The giro starts in Capri with the new Pucci collection, designed by the great Camille Miceli who has managed to capture the spirit of Marquee Emilio Pucci di Barsento for a very light, fun and entertaining collection that has been the rage (I know, I tried to buy something for my partner... sold out in 24 hours - note: always make sure you have on hand your partner's size and don't count on your luck to make sneaky questions).
Then, in Tuscany, it's all about women's rights (quite a topic these days!) and how women helped shaping up contemporary Italy by contributing to the post-war effort while not leaving aside their family commitments... A great example is Wanda Ferragamo but the exhibition, held in the Palazzo Spini Feroni (the iconic Ferragamo location in Firenze) is a celebration to all Italian women, and not a tribute to the House itself.
Talking of House, if you need one, the Soho House has opened its newest location in Rome and believe me, the view from the rooftop is well worth the visit. A good way to end up the trip pretending to be Audrey and Gregory in holidays*...
