The Beauty Of Life

When we go through trauma it almost always leads to a period of numbing out as a defense mechanism, as a way of coping.?
We must also acknowledge that what can look like ‘not being present’ is simply being present for what we’re going through which may leave little or no energy to be present for the things we used to be present for in our lives.?
That’s okay for a temporary period of time. [Temporary meaning “not for the rest of our lives”?and not any particular time frame]
Someone functioning in auto pilot may be someone in survival survival mode but no one wants to stay in survival mode out of habit or fear.?
After a traumatic experience we need to relearn how to engage in life and allow ourselves to enjoy and to thrive. And for this to occur we need to allow ourselves to go through the healing process which takes courage and support.?
Many will choose not go through the healing process because they believe that staying numbed out or staying in auto pilot forever is just easier but it costs you the ability to taste the fruits of being alive.
And while we’re here we owe it to ourselves to keep tasting life, to feel the good which costs us feeling everything, yes, and sometimes there are things we wish we didn’t have to feel.
But when we allow ourselves to be courageous enough to feel it all, we allow ourselves to feel and experience all the beauty in life and this, this is what creates the beautiful piece of art that is your life.
With Love and light,
Rose Bauco, Life and Relationship Co-Active Coach
