Beauty is Everywhere - Public Parks in Beijing
Many people find themselves worried or even panicked with the COVID-19 situation due to the fear of the unknown and deeply unsettling lack of control. It is important to focus on something else to release the stress during crisis. Here is my attempt to share something lighter about spring time in Beijing.
Beijing is the gateway for China. In the past, Beijing tourism focused on the few historical sites including The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Temple of Heavens, Summer Palace. Those ancient architectures are still major attractions for travelers, especially overseas visitors who are interested in understanding China from historical perspectives. Each of those sites is magnificent in its own way and certainly worthy of the time for a visit. With the rapid economic development in the last few decades, the city of Beijing and even the structure of Beijing tourism had changed dramatically. The Beijing excursions have changed from the traditional sightseeing tours into modernized city excursions, cultural, recreational and vacation tours.
In addition to modern architectures constructed in a breakneck speed in the two decades, Beijing also invested significant effort in improving its public parks throughout the city to improve the quality of life for its citizens, and at the same time provides additional tourist options for visitors. most of parks are well managed public parks which are easily accessible with subway lines. If you're willing to take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path, the scenery often can be just as spectacular but with less tourists.
In spring between March and May when weather is very pleasant in Beijing, one of the best delights is to see various flowers coming into blossom one after another. If you happen to travel to Beijing during this time, you are highly recommended to visit some of the parks to see the beautiful spring blossom.

4 年And just look at the dry tree... Although it died, it is so beautiful, not less beautiful, than green trees that still live. I noticed this before, in China they leave such trees to complement the scenery, to make the "living" reality even more vivid.
