Beauty in Diversity

Over the weekend, I tried baking after a long while and I baked this beautiful banana bread. I thought about the joy I experienced from baking, cooking, and writing.? ?

I realized that growing up, most of us did not dare to pursue our passion and were not convinced of the talents we had. For the typical Nigerian family, it was either the children aimed to become Lawyers, Doctors, or Nurses. The irony is that some of these youngsters end up in a frustrated career to earn a living.? ?

I have not lived many years on earth, but life is too short to be stuck up in a career or business that does not bring joy or fulfillment. I understand that it may be difficult to start to earn from what you love, especially when you are breaking stereotypes.

However, in this present dispensation, the narrative is changing. More than ever, parents should encourage their children to be resilient in the pursuit of careers that bring them joy and fulfillment.? ?

Lastly, if everyone were a doctor or Lawyer, the world would be boring with no place for diversity.? ?

Your reflection on the beauty in diversity is truly inspiring. It's heartwarming to hear about your baking adventure and the joy it brings you. Your words resonate deeply with my being, especially regarding the societal expectations many of us face, often steering us away from our true passions. Your insight about the changing narrative and the need for parents to encourage their children to pursue fulfilling careers is incredibly important. I strongly believe our generation would do better than our parents in that regard. It's true that life on this plane is transient to be stuck in a career that doesn't bring us joy. Many a times I ask myself what's the meaning of life without happiness and sense of fulfilment. Many times I ask myself, what is the meaning of life without happiness and a sense of fulfillment?. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reminding us of the value of diversity in our pursuits. Your message serves as a gentle nudge for us all to embrace our passions and create a more vibrant world, one that reflects beauty in diversity.
