Beauty and its quintessential confidence
Arthur Fleck: …and Murray, one small thing…
Murray Franklin: Yeah?
Arthur Fleck: When you bring me out, can you introduce me as Joker?
That is how Joker makes his iconic entry in front of the entire world {with that dance full of happiness}. Joker’s confidence hits all time high as he gets introduced to world the way he wanted to be presented and not the other way around.
I still can’t shake this movie out of my system especially the character of Joker played by Joaquin Phoenix. The ending was particularly powerful where he stands in front of the large crowd and dances to his own tunes thus signaling a start of a new beginning. He sees this as a mark of new revolution…a heroic rise of an iconic villain of all time.
Arthur is decked up as Joker (regardless of what the world thinks about him) for Murray’s this epochal show. As an ordinary guy next door, would Arthur have made impact? Answer is NO.
Arthur saw confidence in being Joker. From confidence emerged his real charm both internally as well externally.
Ladies & gentlemen this leads to my point of view on one of my favorite subject “Beauty”.

Let’s not kid ourselves; people who are not self-confident are slated for mediocrity. Simply put the vehicle for assuredness is through “Confidence, Beauty” and such aspects.
Once again, I am harping on this point…You must feel important from within to succeed in life. And to feel important you need to feel good about yourself.
And to feel good about yourself you need to look appealing. Having spent years as a marketing professional handling beauty products and services I can say the beauty and self-confidence are linked to each other. Though the concept of beauty has changed over years, thank God for that, yet looking good remains the ultimate confidence booster of all times.
In theory it is pleasant to hear that beauty is within and not what is on the outside. But don’t be misled. People do judge and evaluate your outer beauty equally or maybe more than your inner beauty. I have not come across telling anyone “Hey, I am in love with inner beauty!
Have you?
People say that beauty within reflects on the outside. But I know that the opposite is true {Arthur as Joker}. When you look good, you simply feel good. Don’t trust me…ask any person battling an acne-prone complexion. You will instantly know that acne rampant complexion can rapidly drum down anyone’s feelings.
Well, physical attributes gifted by universe is something one is born with and we have no control over that. But looking confident and striking is not. The self-assured image you project is entirely in your hands.
Remember self-confidence is significant for a stable mindset and positive outlook in life.
How important it is to look confident you may ask. I would say very important. In spite of all your talents and qualification do you think you will stand a chance at getting a good job if your head is hanging low and your voice is meek?
Slim chance I would say.
Workplace can be hostile. It is not an institution where they teach or instills confidence in anyone. You have to be assured and look poised. But it is just not the workplace; this reality touches every aspect of your life.
Many studies have highlighted this angle of self-reliance. It can be amped up with some grooming rituals. Marketers have realized this powerful link. It is not surprising to see many corners in malls dedicated to cosmetics and every product that makes you look good and feel awesome.
Today we also have apps to identify those aspects of our appearance that bring down our self-esteem. So, if you have a dull skin, let the app help you choose a luminous foundation and other make-up that will give you the required boost and for big boys out there - you have way too many options to step up your beauty game than your forefathers. Its all about taking the first step towards it and creating mindset about “Beauty”
Take this day to sit back and list those things which will take you to the top of the world.
Remember no one is perfect but everyone is beautiful.
First look closely in the mirror. Give yourself a good look. Send out happy and love affirmation to the image you see in the mirror. Change your attitude.
Pick out one aspect from your feature you love – hair, eyes, lips and so on…and suddenly there will be many features about you to love.
Experiment with your looks, change your hair style, and try on another shade of lipstick or eye shadow. Do your nails. Wear stilettos…there is so much to do and so much to try. Bring out your beauty in yourself you will see beauty in life. Simplicity is by now beaten to death.

For all the importance world gives to beauty it takes more than genetics that makes us look awesome. You need to step up and take that step forward.
Look good, feel better; look awesome, feel magnificent; let the circle continue…. #stayinspired
