The Beauty of Being AVERAGE

I’m not special, but what I have learned is special.?I was never the STAR PLAYER!?I played basketball in high school and was a VERY AVERAGE player.?But my coach would later tell my dad that he has never met a player with more heart.?What did I learn??I learned about being on a team, being determined, dedicated and diligent in what I do.?I learned how to get behind, stand side by side, defend and support others.?Those things turned out to be much more VALUABLE to me than being the star player.?Today I do those same things for my coworkers.?I stand side by side, defend and support them.?That is what I was trained to do.?

I was also not the smartest person in my class.?I am not the smartest person at my job.?I DO KNOW how to collaborate and get the answers I need.?Again, I learned how to be extremely resourceful as an amazing consequence of being average.???

Being average has forced me to appreciate and understand what my true assets are.?Being average is BEAUTIFUL because it forces a person to pull out the parts of them that are way more incredible than the norm.??It REVEALS THE TRUE BEAUTY OF WHO YOU ARE outside of being average.??
