The Beautiful Game for Beautiful Futures

For more than a month, the fields have been alive with the sound of competition as our regional Football leagues have been in full swing. Nearly 200 teams have taken part, kicking off over 500 games since mid-November. From? Sub Juniors (8-10 years old) to the Junior (10-12 years old) and Senior teams (12-14 years old), it's been a whirlwind of action on the field.

Our regional leagues are the stars of the local sports scene, akin to the glittering Premier League in England or the dynamic Indian Super League. Teams from Government & low-income schools we work with gather from one region to engage in fierce competition over the course of 4-6 weeks of thrilling league games. Not only is football the main event, but the tournament also serves as a shining opportunity for moral and positive growth.

Empirical research demonstrates that sports and leadership are synergistic and complement each other. Organized sports provide the perfect playground for children to learn important leadership skills while having a blast. The tournament is a goldmine of real-life learning opportunities. Setting goals, working hard to crush them, and bouncing back from setbacks, it's all part of the game and the kids are loving it!

The gentle whispers of sportsmanship can be heard throughout the games as children exhibit acts of kindness, treating each child as an equal, offering encouragement to all teams on the field, and extending compassion towards mistakes. These small gestures serve as shining examples of the program's success in instilling valuable Leadership traits and guiding the players towards reaching their ultimate potential.?

The tournament is heating up and the best teams are coming out to play! Winners from each age group will battle it out to secure their spot in the National Finals happening in February 2023. And let's not forget all the other exciting events that Enabling Leadership has in store for all the Children who are a part of our 6-year-long leadership programs, it's gonna be a blast!
