IFA 2023: AEG EcoLine puts the spotlight on resource efficiency

One of the world’s most significant trade shows for home appliances, IFA Berlin 2023, takes place from 1st-5th September 2023. AEG will be there showcasing, for the first time, our most resource-efficient models: the AEG EcoLine.

Approximately 85% of the global climate impact of an appliance is generated when it is in use, so the new AEG EcoLine models have been designed to be used effortlessly, at their top efficiency every day, while meeting our strongest energy label ratings.

The EcoLine selection covers all the main product categories to ensure it meets the appliance needs of the entire home. This includes AEG EcoLine ovens, which retain minerals and vitamins while using up to 20% less energy when cooking with steam, and a steam cleaning function that saves up to 95% energy versus pyro cleaning.

World premiere of SaphirMatt induction hob with scratch-resistant glass

In addition to the showcasing of the AEG EcoLine range IFA Berlin 2023 has also been chosen for the world premiere of our groundbreaking AEG 8000 bridge XT SaphirMatt induction hob with scratch-resistant glass.

The unique SaphirMatt ceramic glass is able to withstand everyday use and abrasions, such as pots and pans being dragged on the cooktop, without being scratched. In fact, it can withstand up to four times fewer scratches compared to our standard ceramic hob.

The SaphirMatt is easy to maintain as it is stain and fingerprint resistant and is twice as fast to clean compared to AEG’s standard ceramic hob surfaces. Its elegant black matt finish adds a touch of style to any kitchen and is also 80% less reflective than a standard surface.

“The SaphirMatt hob is an absolute first for AEG,” comments Christoph Walther , European Category Manager Hobs Innovation. “We have perfected a unique texture finish with superior scratch protection which keeps a hob looking new for longer, and we’re very excited to reveal it for the first time ever at IFA this year.”

But the SaphirMatt induction hob is not the only innovation being showcased by AEG. IFA also sees the official launch of the AEG 8000 Sense Boil & Fry hob which makes assisted cooking?more effortless with a CookSmart Touch Display.

Also on show for the first time will be the AEG 6000 Bridge Induction hob with integrated extractor. It brings all benefits of 70cm glass induction hob but fits easily?into a 60cm cabinet, with no need to cut on the internal sides of a cabinet.

Electrolux at the prestigious Ecole Ducasse culinary school

Situated in the outskirts of Paris, the globally renowned culinary school, école Ducasse, is where students learn their skills according to the expertise and philosophy of the iconic Chef Alain Ducasse.

Designed by architects Arte Charpentier, the 5000 m2 training centre is dedicated to the promotion of French gastronomy and features many Electrolux kitchen appliances throughout its facilities.

This includes 9 laboratories for the culinary arts, a patisserie, a bakery, chocolate, and ice cream-making areas, an area for sensory analysis and for the matching of food and wine, as well as a large restaurant that is open to the public and dominates the main fa?ade.

Harbor luxury home, Denmark - Jesper Rehne Jensen & AEG

The AEG Matt Black Collection, winner of a prestigious Red Dot Design Award for product design, was the perfect choice for this building project in Denmark - creating a subtle overall appearance that fits seamlessly into the kitchen environment.

Located in the vibrant city of Esbjerg, but close to the charming harbour and sea, the apartments offer that special Scandinavian feel: open floor plans, large windows and balconies, combined with an open kitchen and living room to create a spacious, bright and minimalistic feeling.
