Just under a year ago I created Le Sage Boudoir Photography. I had been working with clients for many years creating boudoir imagery, but It was at the end of 2019 that I started the ball rolling and created my own boudoir photography business.
Why Le Sage?
Le Sage was my Grandmothers maiden name and it was French Huguenot. I have always been fascinated with history and to find out about my ancestors and what they went through to escape France because of religious persecution.
The Le Sage's landed in London at the end of 1700 and made home in Spitalfields, in the East side of the Capital. Huguenots were known as being artisans and the vast majority of them were silk weavers.
Using the name Le Sage for my boudoir business may seem strange, but for me it meant family, it was personal and obviously it is French, as is the word for bedroom in France, Boudoir. With boudoir photography, it's a very personal thing for the client and for me the name just seemed to fit and create an instant connection for the client.
I have always been creative and when I took up photography I just fell in love with the process of looking through the view finder and creating an interesting image.
For me boudoir is a truly creative process, working with your clients creating beautiful images that can be empowering and offer a much needed boost of confidence. It's also a wonderful keep sake for years to come, something so special to look back on and create happy memories.
If you have been thinking of having your own boudoir shoot, then please contact me for further details. I have added a couple of images from a recent boudoir shoot that I did with the wonderful Bou.
