Beautiful BALI

Beautiful BALI

Recently, I had the privilege of attending two transformative events in Bali. The first was the Elite Circle of Excellence Conscious Leaders program, held over five days at the prestigious Bali Business School. This immersive experience brought together visionary leaders from various industries to refine their business acumen. We delved into advanced business tools, including the innovative 5-Star Business Model and the concept of Customer Joy Journeys, which centred on elevating the customer experience at every touchpoint. Throughout the program, we also explored forward-thinking strategies to scale our businesses, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and growth.

Following this, I attended the Global Speakers Summit, the premier event for professional speakers, which brought together over 300 delegates from 35 countries. This powerhouse gathering was focused on helping speakers enhance their craft and build a more successful business around their speaking engagements.

But beyond the knowledge gained and the tactics learned, it’s the intangible outcomes of such events that deliver the biggest return on investment. Here are the four "F’s" that stood out during my time at these events:

1. Forge Meaningful Relationships

Events like the Bali Business School and Global Speakers Summit create the perfect environment to forge deep, lasting relationships. These connections go far beyond mere networking. When you spend days working alongside like-minded individuals, sharing your struggles, and celebrating your wins, relationships evolve into trusted partnerships. These are the types of alliances that lead to collaboration, support, and business growth. Whether it’s new mentors, strategic partners, or even future clients, the relationships forged in these settings become invaluable assets in your professional journey.

2. Forum to Exchange Ideas

Being in a room full of passionate professionals with diverse perspectives opens a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas. It’s in these vibrant conversations where innovation thrives. At the Bali Business School, we explored disruptive business strategies that challenged conventional thinking, while at the Global Speakers Summit, I engaged in thought-provoking discussions on enhancing the speaking profession. These events act as incubators for new ideas, where what’s working in one industry can often be adapted to another, driving forward new approaches to success.

3. Find New Opportunities

Opportunities have a way of appearing when you immerse yourself in these environments. From new business partnerships to keynote speaking gigs and beyond, attending these events is a breeding ground for professional opportunities. Whether it was the exchange of contact details with fellow speakers or the deeper conversations with business leaders at the Bali Business School, I walked away with more than just knowledge – I left with new opportunities in hand, and potential projects that could take my business to the next level.

4. Foster an Energy of Success

Perhaps the most palpable takeaway from these events is the sheer energy of success that fills the air. When you're surrounded by high-achieving individuals all striving to be their best, it's impossible not to feel inspired and energized. At the Global Speakers Summit, the collective energy of over 300 world-class speakers created a magnetic environment of motivation and success. That energy is contagious, pushing you to elevate your own game and step into your next level of leadership. It’s this sense of unstoppable momentum that often propels you forward long after the event concludes.

“It’s the message people take away, not the message we send, that determines our success as a communicator.” Hugh Mackay

Don’t Miss Out on the Power of Live Events

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my time in Bali, it’s that you can’t afford to miss out on these kinds of experiences. The ROI from attending live events – whether it’s the relationships you forge, the ideas you exchange, the opportunities you uncover, or the energy you harness – is immeasurable. It’s more than worth the time and investment. So, if you’re on the fence about attending your next industry event, do whatever it takes to be there. The rewards are waiting for you.
