"Beat It" (Charity Fundraiser) at Vinyl Bar, London on 9th July 2016

This may or may not be the best forum to broadcast this but I'm going to do so anyway as I believe that what I am doing is a good thing and it matters. 

Some of you may have seen or heard me mention this already but I just wanted to send out a more official request for you to put this in your diaries as I would love for you all to be there if you can...
Saturday 9th July is the all important date. The venue is, a place where I currently hold a part-time DJ residency:

'Beat It' basically is an idea that I had as a result of signing up for 26 mile trek across the Cotswolds (what was I thinking!? Haha) through work (Curo Talent) to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I decided that rather than try to get people to sponsor me (as I'm not too keen on asking people for money), I would instead throw a party and charge for tickets + leave it open to people as to if they want to offer an additional donation (for those of you out there who are extra generous!)... This way, I get to raise the money in a more creative and fun way doing something I truly enjoy & love; as a prelude to the big challenging walk AND people get to have a night out & hopefully enjoy themselves, whilst giving a little something to a good cause. :-)

I'm funding the night 100% from my own pocket and all the proceeds will go directly to Macmillan (via Curo - the company I work for). I plan to do this more often in future as I would like to reach a stage where all the events I put on will raise money for various charities. Small steps first though!
