Bear Standing Tall & Associates to address hunger in Indigenous Communities in Canada, Co-create new Wellness Retreat in Toronto & more in 2017!

Tansi (Hello in Cree). My name is Bear Standing Tall. I am the founder of Bear Standing Tall & Associates. I am praying that everyone has a safe holiday with family and friends. This year we made many new friends, connections, business partners, that are too numerous to count. My wife Pamela Carter supports Residential School survivors in Toronto, Ontario. I admire her and very proud that I'm her partner because she genuinely loves everyone and is loyal to her place of employment. Because of her, I met Gord Downie and the Tragically Hip Band at a Secret Path screening in Toronto, On. I am also proud to have met Gords older brother Mike Downie and consider him my brother and his family my family. Mike invited me to his home and to a We Day Concert in Winnipeg this year https://www.metowe.com/about-us/also a historic Walk for Wenjack https://www.courageforgord.org/pages/walk-for-wenjack where I was able to make more new friends and connections, all working to create awareness of Residential Schools and the legacy it left behind. My spirit has connected with Chanie Wenjack and I composed an honor song for him this year. (video to follow) We are also collaborating with Kairos Canadahttps://www.kairoscanada.org/ to deliver the Kairos Blanket Exercise (Indigenized version).

*Addressing hunger with Indigenous Communities across Canada in partnership with RTG Group Toronto Canada, https://www.rtgmarketinggroup.com/index.html 

 *Hosting a Medicine/Healing/Wellness Gathering in the Toronto, Ontario, (Summer 2017)

* Host a Tee Pee village (10 Tee Pee's in a circle) on this property for educational purposes on the subject "Indigenous Knowledge." & Authentic Indigenous experience which will be four days of "going back to the old days." This space will be for team building, Elders teachings, workshops for youth, adults, schools, sports & culture and much more.

*Fund raising events for Eagle Sundance Society B.C. yearly ceremony for the people. All proceeds go towards contributing to the increasing costs of food and necessities required to host a traditional sun dance ceremony.
