To be or Not to be...always is the question

Work and career are part of our life....while it's one part, we many times make it the only part and neglect other aspects much to our detriment.

I was reading a book around 2007 titled "The Last Lecture" by Late Professor Randy Pausch. Much later I chanced upon the full video of his real last lecture.

The video below is an abridged version of the same lecture when the good prof appeared on Oprah Show.

Even today when I watch this video it gives me goosebumps and moves me.

Here the late prof very clearly gives out a few important life lessons:

1. Circumstances may not be easy or fair. But our will to choose is far more powerful than the circumstances. Choose to live fully and in the present.
2. We all have dreams. Many a times we give up too soon without even attempting. Just persisting gives us valuable life experiences.
3. Humility is always valuable
4. Things are just things: and people are people. We must not ignore people in the pursuit of things.
5. Be Tigger and never be Eeyore : be full of zest for life
6. We all screw up. But apologizing appropriately is very important.
7. No one is pure evil. We not liking someone can't make them evil.
8. Gratitude opens the entire universe to us.
9. Never complain; put your best foot forward irrespective whatever happens to you.
10. Live well, and purposefully. Dreams will come to you.

I do not find any better advice than these for anyone, irrespective of one's station in life - beginner or a veteran!

I am sure this will resonate well with many and inspire them to pursue their dreams with purpose.
