Beacon soak time vs Beacon settle time

The time period used to collect the beacon receive sample for antenna peaking is the beacon soak time. This is one of the most sensitive parameters of the antenna controller. Based on this parameter controller will decide how many seconds of beacon readings to average peaking, step tracking, and taking final measurements.?

• If the number is too small ?? peaking is less accurate and not precise due to fluctuation of signals.?
• If the number is too large ?? peaking may appear slow-moving or inactive due to more dwell times.?

Manufacturers are strongly advised not to change it from the default value.?
