The sand makes it ideal for children’s play while the many bars and restaurants offer refreshments for families during the day, and well into the night for young vacationers.?Ba?vice beach is often portrayed as one of the landmarks of Split, where even during colder months, locals can be seen in the shallow water, playing Picigin – a traditional ball game, on sunny winter days.

The strong sea currents are famously the cause behind frequent changes in shape of the Golden Horn’s pointed top, and visitors usually choose to settle on one of the two sides of the beach, where one is always windier than the other. Many activities are provided at the beach, for both children and adults.
