San Diego has a number of amazing beaches. My top 3 are:
Mission Beach - In Photo. Love the vibes at Mission Beach. Long boardwalk and huge sandy beach. At one end there is a roller coaster and theme park but otherwise it's mostly chill. This area is very narrow with the ocean on one side and the harbor on the other side. Great paddle boarding on the harbor side.
Ocean Beach - Favorite spot to catch sunset in SD. Walk along "The Cliffs" and take in some fresh air and beautiful views. Also, Newport ave is bustling with food, drinks, beach shops, antique shops and more.
Coronado Beach - A quick ride over the impressively tall Coronado Bridge lands you in picturesque and historic Coronado. There is also a commuter ferry boat from downtown. This is a great way to see the harbor by boat without paying for a tour. The beach here is vast and a perfect place to bring a blanket and picnic. After you can stroll around Orange Avenue for shopping and my favorite...a martini at Hotel Del Coronado!
Life's a Beach. Enjoy it!
