Beach Clean Campaign by World School, Salalah

A special campaign ‘Say No to Plastic’ was organized at Dahariz beach by World School, Salalah as part of their environmental awareness drive. The campaign was gracefully inaugurated by Mr.Abdul Rehman Mohammed Al Shahri, Supervior in Ministry of Environment. He highlighted the need of such campaign and awareness drives and the threat Plastic is causing to the world environment. He also appreciated the children and the school for organizing such awareness programme.

The students of World School pledged to say ‘No’ to plastic and ‘Yes’ to a pollution-free environment and performed a street play and presented a song to create an awareness of plastic among the public. The rally was flagged off on the day by Mr. Abdul Rahman to advocate the message, - ‘Go green, no plastic, everything is fantastic’. 

At the end of the event, the audience gave their palm print with their signature symbolizing the promise to reduce the usage of plastic.
