Building More Homes Faster

City of Toronto

“The City of Toronto is leading the way to create more homes for Torontonians through new policies, streamlined processes, strategic partnerships and a record-level of investment.

We have made it easier to create different types of homes to fit the needs of residents. Using City land, investing millions of dollars and actively participating in the construction process all contribute to creating more rental homes faster.

We can’t build housing alone – we are working with Indigenous, non-profit, co-op and private housing providers to create housing opportunities that meet the diverse needs of the people of Toronto, and we need other government partners to step up and fill the funding gaps and build on this momentum to address the crisis we face."
