BAYC creator Yuga Labs to release new Web3 game

Yuga Labs , the firm behind the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, is launching a new skill-based Web3 game called "Dookie Dash." Yuga Labs is hosting a free mint of Sewer Pass NFTs that’ll be required to access this upcoming game. Note that the Sewer Pass Mint is only free for existing BAYC and MAYC NFT holders.

The free mint and the upcoming game are Yuga's attempts at expanding its popular NFT ecosystem. The Sewer Pass Mint will be held on January 17th, while the game will go live the following day. Interested folks who don’t own a BAYC NFT can buy these Sewer Pass NFTs in the secondary market. Although we believe that sellers will demand an exorbitant amount of money for them, once you get a hold of one of these passes, start playing Yuga’s upcoming title. While there’s not much information out there about the game, we know that the goal will be to achieve a score higher than zero to validate the player's sewer pass.

BAYC wrote in a tweet that "the highest single-run score on your specific Sewer Pass and accompanying wallet that achieved the run will determine what it reveals." Dookey Dash is the first initiative by BAYC to further develop its own interoperable metaverse, "The Otherside." It’ll be interesting to see what the company brings to the metaverse space, other than usual owing virtual lands and characters. Considering that BAYC is one of the biggest NFTs IPs out there, expectations are really high.
