Bay Path Practical Nursing Team participated in Walk to End Alzheimer's


Worcester, MA: Gretheline Bolandrina, DHA, MSN Ed, RN, CRRN of Douglas, Academy Director at Bay Path Practical Nursing Academy was joined by her daughter, Lilly Bolandrina, along with alumni and current students as the Bay Path Practical Nursing Team in the October 1, 2023, Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the Hanover Insurance Office Park, 100 North Parkway in Worcester. The Bay Path Practical Nursing Team helped raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Alumni, Gearlyn Wetherbee, LPN of Charlton, Carmen Villanueva, LPN of Worcester, and Ana Hilner, LPN of Oxford all returned this year as not only new graduates but newly licensed nurses having passed the NCLEX-PN on their first try!

The?Bay Path Practical Nursing Team members attended the Promise Garden Ceremony at 10 AM. ?Current Bay Path Practical Nursing Academy students who participated were Emmanuel Nyah, Evelyn Kiplangat, Regina Njuguna, and Kaitlin Miliauskas. Also, in attendance was Marilyn Burlingame, LPN from PN Class of 2017.

?“More than a memorable service-learning activity for everyone, participating is fun,” said Bolandrina. She added, “it’s a chance to make an impact in the mission to end Alzheimer’s, and a chance to catch up and celebrate our alumni success.” Bolandrina stated, “I am grateful for our alumni and student leadership, passion, and participation. We look forward to the day when the goal is reached of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.”

About Bay Path Practical Nursing Academy, the program is a 40-week, (10-month), full-time, Monday through Friday, evening program. The program begins mid-August and is completed in late June. Graduates receive a Practical Nursing Certificate and are eligible to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam. The Bay Path Practical Nursing Academy is fully approved by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services Department of Public Health Board of Registration in Nursing (www.mass.gov/dph/boards/rn) and is accredited by the Commission on Occupational Education (www.council.org).
