Question 1. What is the science behind the ‘Tantric Sex’ practices related to ‘Jugal Sadhana’?

Answer: The Sadhak Baul is trained by his Guru to have ‘dry’ intercourse (not allowing his semen to drop into his female partner’s vagina) only during the menstrual period of his Sadhan Sangini. The reason is this. Sperm cells tend to die when there is too much heat (Reference 1). A fully erect penis has a higher skin temperature than when it is not erect due to arousal. That genital organ is inserted into the female vagina which contains red hot blood (fresh blood that passes out of the female body quickly has little time to get cool in contact with air). Under such circumstances, in order to retain the semen, the Sadhak Baul is trained to use some special breathing technique. What exactly it is, I do not know. But, I can suggest a breathing technique which is very effective in cooling you down when your body heat is raised.

The technique is like this:

“Breathe in through your left nostril which supplies air to the right side of your brain that contains your negative emotions like ‘lust’ (Reference 2). This inhalation should be for four counts (1, 2, 3, 4). At the top of the inhale, take your thumb off the right nostril and close the left nostril with your right ring finger – breathe out of the right nostril for four counts (1, 2, 3, 4). Repeat for 5 to 10 cycles.” (Reference 3)

Question 2. Why some veteran Baul Sadhaks go for multiple Sadhan Sanginis?

Answer: There was a time in the past, when I used to give consultation to people who needed it. Once I had a case – a married man with a teenage daughter, who needed multiple female sex partners. I came across the same situation while researching on the Bauls & Fakirs – especially their lifestyle. Such men have a highly active ‘Novelty Seeking’ (‘NS’) circuit in their brain. (To get more details about it, please read my just-released book ‘The Four Moons in the Human Body’ (Reference 5).

Those who have a high level of ‘Dopamine’ in their blood, are hungry for novelty. Some are hungry for novelty in what they eat/drink, some others seek novelty in their dress and accessories including hairstyle, a few seek novelty in sex. (Reference 6)
