?Salary negotiations should NOT be awkward.
Let’s be honest; talking about money is bloody awkward with your partner or friends, let alone a hiring manager.
It is a challenging topic to address during the interview process.
I understand you want the role and don’t want to appear ‘greedy’. Plus, you often get squeezed by the employer were; they try to get you as cheap as possible.
Remember to leave it to the last stage when the offer is sent.
The fact is that negotiation is a NORMAL part of the hiring process.
Women and junior candidates are less likely to negotiate salaries.
It doesn’t have to be as palm-sweating scary as you think. Salary negotiation is the key to starting a new career with a new company (or your current company!).
It should reflect the work that you are doing, as well as the experience and skills that you bring to a company. Knowing the market is essential. Usually, around the 10% increase is the goal, but this depends on other factors!
Be realistic and think ???????? ???? ???????? ?????????????????? ???? ???????
For instance , is it worth taking a new role with a similar salary for the career path?

Consider ?????????? ???????????????? that can make up the package. Is it the same holiday days, travel, more home office, bonus? It needs to be considered.
Besides, different companies have different promo processes and timelines. If the position really seems like a good fit, BUT the salary and benefits aren’t fully lining up for you, consider requesting a concrete plan for your growth at the firm so you can reach the salary and benefits package you desire within a year or less.
The recruiter’s role is to get involved with salary negotiations, and they know the market. They want you to get the best possible (and realistic) salary!
The art of negotiation isn’t to screw anyone over, it is about getting to a win-win situation.
When you get an offer, please don’t focus on I currently make X and I want Y. Focus on the data you received in the interviews and highlight the value you bring to the team/company and how your skills would benefit them.
Companies don’t offer salaries to increase your current salary; they offer salaries based on what they think your value to their business is.
Let’s not deny the fact that the majority of current salary is irrelevant.
The most important thing to remember when negotiating your salary is to be confident. Walk into the negotiation with a clear understanding of your worth and what you are willing to accept. Be prepared and positive about yourself; you will be more likely to get the salary you deserve!
BELIVE in yourself; otherwise, NO ONE else will!

2 年If the organisation is offering a rage in salary eg : £25K to £45K you have to think that is a huge gap. Maybe they don't know what they're looking for.
