Ioneer Ltd. has secured a $996?M loan from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop its Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in Nevada. This expansion will strengthen the U.S. mineral supply chain, create approximately 850 jobs, and quadruple domestic lithium production to support around 370,000 electric vehicles annually. Patriot Battery Metals has secured a C$69?M (US$48?M) investment from Volkswagen , granting VW approximately 9.9% ownership. The funds will advance the Shaakichiuwaanaan Lithium Project in Quebec and support corporate initiatives. aramco and Ma'aden have signed non-binding terms to establish a Saudi joint venture focused on lithium extraction and direct lithium extraction technologies. Aiming for commercial production by 2027, the partnership seeks to meet rising global lithium demand and support Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and energy goals.
