BATT Launches "Spot the Scam: Stop the Fraud Challenge" – Join the Fight Against Online Fraud!

Online scams are becoming more sophisticated, and the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BATT) is taking action to help individuals stay one step ahead of fraudsters. That’s why BATT is excited to launch the "Spot the Scam: Stop the Fraud Challenge", a new initiative aimed at raising awareness and empowering the public to recognize and report online fraud.?

The Challenge runs from November 18th to 29th, 2024 and?BATT invites everyone to get involved in fighting online scams. Whether you're new to spotting fraud or already a savvy scam-spotter, this challenge is a fun and engaging way to learn and contribute to making our digital spaces safer.?

How to Participate:?

1. Follow BATT on Facebook and LinkedIn – Keep an eye on the posts during the challenge.?
2. Spot a Scam – Look for a scam posted on BATT’s Facebook/LinkedIn page.?
3. Identify Red Flags – In the comments, identify the type of scam and list at least two red flags that signal the scam. Think about things like suspicious links, too-good-to-be-true offers, or grammar mistakes that often accompany fraudulent posts.?
4. Spread the Word – Share the post, tag three friends, and use the hashtags:? #SpotTheScamTT #FraudFreeTT #StayAlert. The more you share, the more people will be aware of the dangers of online scams!?
