For anyone who is involved in accessible bathrooms, Impey’s free Bathroom Adaptations Technical Training has proved invaluable. The four training sessions, which were conveniently spread across the UK, were meticulously organised by the UK’s leading wetroom brand Impey. On hand to share their expertise and product information were experts from: Impey, Altro flooring and walling solutions, Closomat toilets, Mira showers and Whale pumps.

With an emphasis on UK design and manufacture, the events illustrated the collaboration and cohesion between the UK brands and how effectively the products work in synergy.
Each event gave the attendees the opportunity to see and feel a range of bathroom solutions, as well as providing excellent networking opportunities for anyone involved in the specification and installation of level-access showering.
Attendees to the free in-person training included installers, contractors, housing association officers, OTs, TOs, building surveyors, plumbers, adaptations surveyors, environmental health enforcement officers, THIOs, carpenters, builders, project coordinators, surveyors and architects.
Andy Hayward, Director at Evolve adaptation management specialists attended the event at Brands Hatch. He said: “Impey’s Adaptations Technical Tour was an excellent way of expanding product knowledge and getting hands-on with new innovations in the accessible bathroom sector. It was a perfect networking opportunity and ideal to have product experts on hand from each of the manufacturers to answers questions.”

Tom Reynolds , Chief Executive of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association came to the event at Cheltenham. He said: “I attended the training day to find out more about what BMA members are doing to serve the adaptations part of the bathroom market. The presentations gave me a great insight into the innovations taking place all geared at helping people to live independently better. BMA has a group dedicated to healthcare and adaptations, and it was fabulous to see our member brands collaborating so positively.”
