Last weekend saw the third run in a series of 4?which took me to beautiful Bath for the Two Tunnels Half Marathon. The heavy showers were an irrelevance as much of the course is underground. The route boasts the longest underground sections in the UK and goes under the city using old railway tunnels that have been expertly renovated by volunteers. Avoiding the rain didn’t of course mean that I didn't look like someone had thrown a bucket of water over me, but it was an amazing surreal experience and one that I would highly recommend.
As always post race celebrations were lively particularly an ongoing joke theme entitled 'Bath'. Commiserations to the guy who shared with me had just learnt that as a baby his parents always washed him in a bath filled with cheap Australian lager. He was distraught to find out that he had been 'fostered'. (note to self - no more jokes !!!)
Next up is Richmond in September. In the meantime please, please contribute, you are just a click away from helping to improve lives Improve lives | Leukaemia UK
