Batch Management

In SAP S/4HANA, batch management is a process that allows you to track and manage detailed information about groups of similar products, known as batches, as they move through the manufacturing and sales processes. It’s particularly useful for industries where products need to be traced for quality control, expiration management, or other regulatory requirements.

Here are some of the primary transaction codes (t-codes) related to batch management in SAP S/4HANA:

  1. MSC1N?- Create Batch
  2. MSC2N?- Change Batch
  3. MSC3N?- Display Batch
  4. MSC4N?- Batch Changes
  5. MSC5N?- Batch Status Management
  6. MSC6N?- Display Changes for Batch
  7. MB56?- Batch Where-Used List
  8. MCH1?- Create Batch at Plant Level
  9. MCHA?- Create Batch in Batch Master
  10. MCHB?- Batch Stock
  11. BMBC?- Batch Information Cockpit
  12. VCH1 - Create Search Strategies for SD
  13. VCH2 - Manage Search Strategies for SD
  14. VCH3 - Display Search Strategies for SD

  2. MCHA - Batches (if batch management at material level is active)
  3. MCHB - Batch Stocks
  4. AUSP - Characteristic Values (for batch classification)
  5. CABN - Characteristics (Table for characteristics in batch classification)
  6. CAWN - Characteristic Values (for classification)
  7. INOB - Object to Material Assignment (for object linking in classification)
