As leaders we should openly discuss issues relevant to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, social justice, equality, access to resources for our teams, communities, nations, and world. It’s about being openly collaborative, and working in partnerships, to solve tough questions, something that is central to being authentic and sincere in working with people. If for some reason you can’t wrap your thoughts and understanding around that, and if it makes you uncomfortable dealing with difficult situations, and hard conversations. You really need to start asking yourself whether you understand what leadership means.
