The basics matter...
I posted this a few months back and had great feedback. I was reminded of it yesterday when I realized I was not following my own advice about remembering and executing the basics. I think it is easy as you grow in your business to forget the things you did when you first started, but it is essential we remember where we came from and what got us here. So I am posting this again...?and adding to it.
Imagine you are new to your industry (perhaps you are). What advice do you wish one of the veterans had shared with you back then?
Now ask yourself "what advice would you give a new person today"?
You probably have a list of things that you would share with them. The list might well contain...

Now ask yourself if you are doing all the things that you would tell them to do?
The reality is that as we become established in our industry we often stop doing a lot of the things that got us to this point. We cut back prospecting calls, lose touch with our data base or stop finding time to take classes. We become complacent and this is often the number one reason that we hit plateaus in our business.
Those tips on how to prospect and close more deals still apply to you. Stop executing them and you slow or stop your business growth. Stop making your calls every day and your bottom line notices.
So today's take away is never forget what made you successful. It is easy to get busy and forget or overlook the basics... but when you need more business these are the things you need to revert to doing. You know they work so never stop doing them.
Success is derived from executing the right business plan, marketing and strategies. The basics often show us the way to success. As we grow our business double down on what worked... don't forget about it. So to that very point, I have always had success with getting referrals, so I will end this way.
As always, if you need help with a mortgage or know someone who does, please message me and I will do everything I can to help.
