Perfume is a liquid mixture formed from fragrant essential oils derived from plants, spices or synthetic aromatic compounds. Following are the reason of adding perfume in Soap;
1) To mask unpleasant Odor of the chemical ingredients.
2) Distinguish their brand from others.
3) To appeal customers.
What are Notes in Perfumery?
Notes are the ingredients which make the perfume. There are three notes in perfume
1) Top Note
2) Heart Note
3) Base Note
What is Top Note?
Top Note is also called as Head Note. It gives the first impression of the perfume. It consists of lighter particles which evaporates quickly and top note sensation remain around 5 to 15 minutes. Citrus fruits and Aromatics compounds are top notes.
What is Heart Note?
Heart Note is the major and essential part of a perfume. It makes an appearance just after top note fades away. It remains last longer for two to four hours. Floral, Green, Fruity and Spices are the Heart Notes. They support the heart Notes and act as a buffer for Base Notes.
What is Base Note?
Base Note is the lasting impression of the fragrance. It consists of heavy molecules which evaporate slowly. The Base Notes are often where you can see the real quality of the perfume. Wooded and Balsamic are the Base Notes.
What Is Accord?
The proportion in which top, heart and base notes are mixed is known as accord of the perfume
