Basic Key Responsibilities of Soft Services Supervisor

Job Summary:

ensures that all services are performed efficiently, meeting both quality standards and client expectations. The supervisor will manage a team of staff, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and handle scheduling and operational issues.

  • Supervise and Manage Soft Services Staff: Oversee a team of cleaning staff, janitors, and other non-technical service personnel. Provide direction, training, and performance feedback
  • Quality Control: Ensure that cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met across the premises, including restrooms, offices, common areas, and other assigned spaces
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe work environment
  • Schedule Management: Create and manage work schedules for soft services staff to ensure coverage of required tasks, including adjusting shifts to meet peak demands
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment. Order and ensure stock levels are maintained
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for clients or other stakeholders to address service-related inquiries, complaints, and feedback. Ensure client satisfaction through service delivery excellence
  • Training and Development: Conduct training for new staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use. Provide ongoing development and mentoring to the team
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records of work schedules, staff attendance, supply usage, and incident reports. Provide regular reports on service delivery and performance metrics
  • Waste Management: Oversee waste collection, recycling programs, and disposal processes, ensuring that all activities are carried out in an environmentally responsible and compliant manner
  • Budget Management: Assist in managing budgets related to soft services, ensuring costs are kept within allocated limits while maintaining high service quality
